The Olivia Act
The Olivia Act is named after one of the children lost in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting December 14th, 2012. This was started by a photographer who wishes to remain anonymous. Olivia's family had family portraits taken not long before she was killed. Those Pictures are precious and now the most valued, precious, priceless piece of paper that family owns. Upon hearing about this, this certain photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo session and has challenged other photographers to do the same.
It is amazing how we go about our daily lives and sometimes we don't take the time or even have the resources to have family photos taken. I know being a mother of 3 precious children, and my correspondence marketing director, a mother of a 5 yr old, we would be lost so distraught if we were in these parents shoes! Our Heart go out to these family members! Which is why we have chosen to take place in this Act.
We will be taking nominations for a family who you think will appreciate this gift of memories. The session will take place sometime after the first of the year and will be 100% FREE to the family being nominated. Please email us at ASimpleTouchPhotography@gmail.com
with your nominations subject titled "OLIVIA ACT" and include a brief message on who you are nominating and the reason you would like for them to have this gift.
The family chosen will be contacted via email or phone so please include any way to reach the family you are nominating.
We will be taking nominations between now, December 20th and December 31st, 2012.
